Event details

This session of Listening to the Voices of the Women Mystics will focus on Cynthia Bourgeault, modern-day mystic, writer of The Wisdom Jesus, and teacher with “The Living School” through the Center for Action and Contemplation.

The women mystics give voice to the the sacred feminine pathways to union with the Holy One. They invite us to reclaim our desires and longings, to trust in our experiences of God, and to unite contemplation and action.

During our exploration, we will be accompanied by strong and compassionate female mystics.

The modern-day mystic, Cynthia Bourgeault, gives us a new perspective on Jesus as a wisdom teacher of consciousness.

In this session, we will:

  • Engage in contemplative prayer through guided meditations and breath awareness
  • Listen to the writings of the mystics with Lectio Divina (sacred reading)
  • Reflect upon the teachings using writing prompts and sharing in small groups
