Pat Hendricks Shihan, 7th dan, returns to Colorado for a two-day seminar November 4-5. Students from all Aikido styles and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend! 

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from Pat Hendricks Shihan’s deep understanding of the Iwama style of Aikido, based on her more than 40 years of dedication to training and teaching. 

Both days of the seminar cover open-hand and weapons practice with Bokken and Jo. Get ready to explore the connection between open-hand and weapons, and how each strengthens and complements the other.

About Pat Hendricks Shihan 

Pat Hendricks Shihan, 7th dan Aikikai, started Aikido in 1974 with Stan Pranin and Mary Heiny. In 1976, she moved to Iwama, Japan, to study with Morihiro Saito Shihan. Over the next 30 years, she returned to Japan more than 25 times, during which she spent six years as uchi-deshi (live-in student). 

She holds a menkyo kaiden (highest rank) in weapons certification from Saito Shihan and was certified by him to test for weapons rankings the U.S. 

She served as Saito Shihan's representative for the U.S. and is head of the Iwama division in the California Aikido Association (CAA). She teaches around the world, as well as through her online programs. Her dojo, Aikido of San Leandro, attracts students from all over the world, including Japan.
